La Cabanya is a beautiful holiday rental villa awarded with 5 keys (the highest quality award category from Catalan government).It’s located in the quiet and safe village of Mata (Porqueres), only 2 km. from Banyoles lake, 15 km. from the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa and 35 km. from Costa Brava beaches. The country house is also 15 km. from Girona city, 30 km. from the Dalí Museum in Figueres and 1 hour from the city of Barcelona. The villa is in a walking distance from shops and restaurants and a short drive from the Airport of Girona-Costa Brava (25 km.). Car is not necessary as you can arrive by public transport (bus).
The accommodation is rented exclusively for a group from 2 up to 6 people. There are 2 cosy bedrooms with en-suite bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, a sunny living room with TV satellite (international channels), air conditioning, central heating, fireplace and high-speed internet - wifi.Outside there is a beautiful garden with swings for children, a barbecue, a covered porch with which is ideal for eating outside all year round and a nice private swimming pool with salt water.
The variety of landscapes in the Costa Brava region offers a lot of bucolic landscapes and artistic inspiration that make this area an unbeatable environment for family activities. Cycling, hiking, kayaking, canoeing on Banyoles lake are the most common sports. For this reason, La Cabanya is also a bike friendly villa. 100 meters from the house is the greenway that connects Serinyà - Banyoles - Girona.
